June Update from Summit Sotheby’s International Realty

Welcome to June.

Real Estate, Events and Lifestyle Update from Summit Sotheby’s International Realty

Sotheby’s International Realty hosted their Global Networking Event in Vancouver, Canada, May 13-15, welcoming nearly 2,000 members of the Sotheby’s International Realty® brand from 35 countries. A part of the 2,000 attendees was a large group from Summit Sotheby’s International Realty, ready to share Utah’s properties, lifestyle and success stories with the world.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Academy Award winning actress and CEO and Founder of Goop, a modern lifestyle brand, joined Sotheby’s International Realty’s Chief Marketing Officer, Kevin Thompson, on stage as the keynote speaker, sharing her thoughts on the importance of creating a timeless brand and connecting with today’s consumer in an intimate fireside chat.

Summit Sotheby’s International Realty’s President and Principal Broker, Thomas Wright, presented in two highly sought after sessions, sharing his proven method of properly pricing a property along with a get-it-done approach that earns sales associates the right to be a luxury agent. Attendees left his sessions with customizable examples of how to provide their clients with a next level and competitive real estate experience.

A consistent message throughout the Global Networking Event? Utah is on everyone’s radar. From the tech slopes to newsmakers Alterra and Vail arriving on the scene, one thing is for certain, people from all over the world are purchasing property in Utah. Networking with top agents in the US and the world means that our sales associate team is educated on markets such as Atlanta, Houston, Oklahoma City, Seattle, Southern California, South Florida, Dubai, Shanghai and beyond. If you ever have a real estate question or need, your sales associate at Summit Sotheby’s International Realty is poised to help you every step of the way.

Our in-house advertising agency has been firing on all cylinders the last several weeks and months, composing and design the pages of the 21st edition of Collections Magazine. In what is certainly Utah’s most premiere real estate publication, Collections Magazine is slated to launch on June 24th. With 115,000 copies being distributed through exclusive partnerships with Zion’s Bank and Utah Business Magazines, The Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune, The St. George Spectrum along with rack locations across the state, this edition promises to be the most widely distributed Collections Magazine to-date.

Our team takes a lot of pride in providing our sales associates and clients an extraordinary marketing experience that touches print, digital, social, video, and more. In a world where information, advertisements and opinion are coming at consumers on their phones, in their feeds and on every website they encounter, Collections Magazine offers a luxury marketing experience that is tangible – showcasing the homes, estates and lifestyles that only Utah can provide.

It wouldn’t be summertime at Summit SIR if the calendar weren’t full of our signature events. From the 4th of July on Park City’s Main Street, to our Summit Sotheby’s Cares golf tournament, summers are something the Summit Sotheby’s International Realty family knows how to do best. We invite you to mark your calendars and talk to your Summit Sotheby’s International Realty Sales Associate about joining us this summer at one (or all) of our upcoming events.

At the Global Networking Event, our VP of Marketing, Tiffany Fox,  sat down with Joe Farmer, VP of Dielmann Sotheby’s International Realty in St. Louis. During this meeting, the two shared best practices and learned about each other’s markets. For this month, we’ve selected to share what we learned in our Affiliate Spotlight. Okay James Bond fans, this one is for you. At auction: A gold ring given by George Lazenby to Diana Rigg in ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’ will be offered in the upcoming Fine Jewels sale in London on 5 June, and marks the only time in the history of Bond that 007 walked down the aisle. This curious lot is definitely one for fans of kitsch pop culture as well as abstract British jewelery. Featuring quite heavily in the often-forgotten but superb 1969 James Bond film, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service—starring George Lazenby as the infamous 007 and Diana Rigg as his adventurous but ultimately tragic partner and wife, Contessa Teresa di Vicenzo, or less formally Teresa “Tracy” Draco. This distinctive and incredibly rare item was one of two made for the film’s wedding scene, designed by jeweler Charles de Temple. Born in Mexico in 1929, de Temple became a jeweller in Massachusetts before moving to Britain where he became a central figure on the ‘swinging London’ scene—creating one-of-a-kind jewels for the modern women of the city. He was renowned for flamboyant statement pieces, and was also commissioned to create the ring Honour Blackman wore to the London premiere of previous Bond film, Goldfinger.
